Back-to-School

Transportation

The transportation schedule will be available after school starts, usually after one week. Guffey staff makes every effort to meet the transportation needs of our school community. However, we cannot guarantee that transportation services can always be provided.

School Closing

School closing: If the school decides to cancel or delay the start of the school day because of inclement weather or other conditions, each school family will receive a phone call and or email from school staff. Our staff will also make every effort to reach families. Information will also be on the school's website, posted by 6am. If we have to cancel school after students have already arrived for the day, no child will be sent home or released to walk home unless a responsible adult has been contacted and the child has a place to stay.

Lunch Prices

Students may pack or purchase a lunch. Juice and milk are provided free of charge. Rates for school provided lunch are $3.00 for students and $4.00 for adults.

Eligibility Guidelines For Free Lunch Program

Families are encouraged to apply for the free and reduced lunch program even if your student does not intend to eat meals at school. This program helps us with our federal funding. Students from households that meet federal guidelines are eligible for free or reduced priced meals. Applications will be available at registration and in the school's office during the first week of school. The information provided on the application is confidential and will be used only for the purpose of determining if a student is eligible for free or reduced price meals.

Back-to-School Supplies

Classroom teachers will provide school supplies. We ask that each student bring $30 to help cover the supply costs.
